Community Concerns

As advocates for children, our concerns often come out of the classroom and into our community. If you hear, see or become aware of an issue within your own community, share it here. As a group, advocacy liaisons can work together to bring issues to the attention of local and state officials who can make the change.
The Colorado Department of Education has a  “On the Team and at the Table” tool-kit for successful Family and Community Partnering that you can access here. Resources are available in English and Spanish to get you and your school connected.

Superintendent McMimimee’s letter to the community brings a lot of questions about what lays ahead for Jeffco, and maybe more than a few concerns. What are the questions, comments and concerns you as and individual or from your PTA membership that you have heard? What can Jeffco PTA do to help you and the PTA at your school?
