Who will you nominate?
Does your PTA work collaboratively with your teachers and administrators? Reach out to the community to help improve your school? Partner with another PTA to share ideas and resources? Does your unit go above and beyond the ordinary? Models integrity and hard work? If you answered yes then be sure to nominate your unit today!
One award will be presented at the Jefferson County Council PTA’s Annual Spring Fling Awards Ceremony in April. Winning unit will received a certificate of honor, a $250 grant, and a $250 scholarship to attend the following year’s Colorado PTA Convention.
Honoring individual PTA members who value people and model integrity, teamwork, or exemplary volunteerism in Jeffco schools. Jeffco PTA recognizes that parent and community involvement is essential to providing a quality educational experience for student success.
The Jane Hammond Applause Award may be given to up to five PTA volunteers who meet the necessary qualifications and will be presented at Jefferson County Council PTA’s Annual Spring Fling Awards Ceremony in April. PTAs with Jane Hammond winners receive a $250 scholarship to attend the following year’s Colorado PTA Convention.
Jeffco PTA knows we have amazing teachers going above and beyond the call of duty in our schools. This award will honor a teacher in the district who does just that and who models integrity, teamwork, and outstanding commitment to his/her school, community, and PTA.
One Crystal Apple Award will be presented at Jefferson County Council PTA’s Annual Spring Fling Awards Ceremony in April. All nominees will receive a certificate honoring their nomination.
To provide local units the opportunity to celebrate their accomplishments and to be recognized for their commitment to meeting the changing needs of youth, parents, and the community.
A maximum of eight Three Star PTA Awards will be presented at Jefferson County Council PTA’s Annual Spring Fling Awards Ceremony in April. The top three Three Star winners may be eligible to receive a grant from Jeffco PTA, dependent upon sponsors and donations received by Jeffco PTA.
Jeffco PTA established this award in 1988 to promote and recognize nurturing, mentoring, and networking between two or more local PTA units. Units that share their leadership skills or resources with struggling units help to strengthen our membership organization and improve the school environment for parents, students, and teachers. The Hand in Hand Award may be given to multiple PTAs who meet the necessary qualifications
